The most ideal way to go is that a man and a woman must pray to God and ask Him who He wants them to marry. Only then you can search for love. Only then 2 people can marry and built a live. And then they both can live happily ever after.

But things do not work that way in the real live. Cause there is the flesh of us, the world and the devil. The devil hates everything that God instituted, and specially the marriage, cause it symbolizes God and His bride. Ephesians 5:32. So what happens in the practice? People get divorce. Even marriages that was made in heaven can end in a divorce.

A lot of people differ on this subject. I want to share my opinion with you. The ideal is 1 Cor 7:11 - "But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband."
Rom. 7:2 - "For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband."
Rom 7:3 - "So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man."
Meaning you get one change, and if you mess it up, you must stay unmarried, or you have to re-marry your ex. Only if your husband/wife dies, you are allowed to re-marry (1 Cor 7:39).

Other Opinions:
God also gives space for people and what they desire, and the He say "let them be married" (1 Cor 7:9).
And then there is the people that say that the party of the couple that is not at fault may marry again (Mat. 19:9).
So the best way to go is to ask yourself the question: Is it to the glory of God?
At the end of the day, divorce is not the non-forgiving sin. So they believe that if God forgave them they may be married again. I know of a lot of marriages that was successful the second time.

Lord, please give us a soft spirit towards others, while we try to live in sincerity.
